Documentary Brand Design

In the Shadows of Service is a documentary highlighting what it is like to be a modern military spouse. This project is very personal to me and I was happy to join the team and support in any way I could. Some of the main goals of this project were:

  • marry the style of the documentary with any external promotional materials for the film

  • start building brand awareness around the documentary to help gain supporters

  • create visibility for the Kickstarter campaign

Building a Visual Story

Working with a team of rockstar military spouse professionals, we strived to gain funding for production through a Kickstarter campaign. I helped by building the the overall brand identity and direction for all documentary marketing visuals.

Although the Kickstarter did not reach it’s goal, the documentary gained sponsorship from a nationwide nonprofit to help seek grant funding. The goal is still to launch the film in early 2026.
